about
Rasika Venkatesa has some of her fondest memories growing up in Chennai, India, where she learned to cook with her grandmother, Mythily Ramachandran. After gaining culinary experience in some of the best Michelin-starred kitchens in the US, working with world-renowned chefs, and being on America’s biggest cooking competition, Top Chef, Rasika decided to return to her roots with the intention of highlighting South Indian cuisine.
my philosophy
Food. It’s such an interesting concept because it's one of the biggest factors that brings people together. Cooking is the art form behind a great meal and that’s why chefs like me do it. We want to recreate memories we had like just eating a meal with our families, along with the creativity we’ve adopted in our careers over different phases in our lives. Culture is so important to me and being a small part of showcasing a little bit of our culture goes a long way.
